Alice Dellal has taken the fashion world by storm - due to her unique style and her rule-breaking presence. As the new face of Agent Provacateur, Dellal has graced the pages of Paris Vogue and was also featured in a recent MANGO Campaign. With her half shaved head and omnipresent nosering, Dellal filled me in on her favorite photographers (Diane Arbus…), her favorite places to shop (www.fetish.com) as well as her vices (ventolin inhalers et al….). HUW GWYTHER OF WONDERLAND

Editorial Director and Publisher of Wonderland, Huw Gwyther always wanted to publish a magazine. After studying fashion design at St Martins and landing a gig working with Mario Testino - he knew that magazines were for him. Bridging the gap in the publication world for all things related to contemporary culture and style, Wonderland was created in an attempt to have content that everyone could take something from, and while doing so, target as many people as possible. With an exciting new project on the go titled rollacoaster.tv, Gwyther gave me a sneak peek as to what we can expect from the Dec/Jan publication. Take a look below (YB).

After last year’s unofficial Art Basel boycott by some of my favorite artists, this year is shaping up to be impressive.  Al Moran and Aaron Bondaroff present their second exhibit at their Our House of West of Wynwood space in downtown Miami.  Feature all the usual suspects, this looks like its going to be a good one.  The exhibit runs from December 2-7.

A NEW BREED OF MODELS

kimmel.jpg

You know I’m a fan of Adam Kimmel’s deisgns and his past choices for models, and he does it again, but this time using older artists, actors and musicians.  Amongst those featured in his lookbook are actor Dennis Hopper (top left) and artists Don Bachardy (top left), Larry Bell (bottom left) and Semina artist, Geroge Herms with his son (bottom right).  I love that he uses “real people” for his lookbook.

HERON PRESTON

heron.jpg

I’ve been following Heron Preston for a while. His website, Heronpreston.com is rare in a sense that it has always managed to keep me coming back.  His blog is almost like a personal journal that I’m actually interested in reading, but he also dishes out some solid advice and documents his thoughts and hustles all through original photos, words and video.  Heron moved out to NY from San Francisco to go to Parsons and now works as a Jr. Strategist at Naked Communications.  I spoke to Heron about his new project, The Young and The Banging, his love for New York City and his favorite city in the world, Paris. By Kyle Morrison.
